I had such a great time meeting Brittney Monroe, photographer of Sweet Southern Moments in Iwakuni. I love her work and was honored when she asked me to shoot a lifestyle newborn session. We had a great time, and Remi is sweet as a bug. She got some cuddle time with mom, and mom actually got to be in the pictures this time!
In Iwakuni, a group of photographers gather monthly to discuss photography concepts and topics. We have a monthly theme, and this month's theme is Documentary. Earlier this year, I wanted to capture a typical morning in our house. It was just one of those times when I felt it was important to document the things I notice and love as I watch my kiddos play in their [...]
It's always nerve-racking taking another photographer's pictures, but taking their pictures was a breeze! Brandy knew the poses she wanted, and her husband and kid simply followed right along! Being a fellow photographer & L.I.N.K.S member, it's been a pleasure getting to know Brandy! For this session, we originally thought we would take pictures down by the [...]
I seem to be doing a lot of headshots lately for different businesses - which I love. I especially love getting together with other local photographers and swapping headshots. (See previous work here) Here are some that I took of Natalie from Natalie Nicole Photography. Check her out, y'all. She's amazing, and I've never worked with anyone who can pose models s[...]
It's always a huge honor when a photographer asks you to take their family photos - especially when you love their work. Talk about being nervous, but exciting nonetheless. Ashely of Ashley McComb Photography and her family had a beautiful sunset session off of a walking path on the Texas A&M Corpus Christi walking trail. It's a few minutes walk after parking,[...]
What's more exciting/nerve-racking than shooting the biggest wedding you have ever shot to date? Shooting a photographer that you admire. Have you ever heard that quote "Girls compete with one another, women empower one another"? Well, in this photography world that can be dog-eat-dog, Andrea, of Andrea Hauck Photography, has definitely been one of the many people[...]
As a photographer living in the (somewhat) isolated town of Yuma, I'm always looking for a new and unique location to shoot at. So I jumped at the opportunity to check out a new location with my friend Bonnie from Captured by BC. Outside of Yuma, in Bard, CA, is The Cloud Museum. It's a rustic setting filled with vintage cars, gas pumps, trucks, tractors and bath[...]
I had so much fun teaching a group Basic DSLR class with Jessica, Kirsten and Diana. We busted out some worksheets, took notes, and practiced in different lighting situations with our cameras. They were super quick learners and made it so easy to explain the basics of using Manual Mode. Thank You, Jess, for welcoming me into your home and introducing me to your[...]
